Supply Chain Manager | Manufacturing | Witney | £50,000pa plus bonus & benefits: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in the Witney area. With growth plans to scale their £100m turnover business to over £200m over the next 5 years, the Supply Chain Manager will lead and manage the purchasing function for the business unit, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of raw materials, components, finished goods, and indirect to support customer demand and manufacturing operations. This Supply Chain Manager role would perfectly suit a purchasing professional who enjoys navigating between the day to day hands on supply negotiations and supporting your Purchasing Executive, with more strategic supply chain duties like, relationships with supplier around quality, service and innovation; identifying, evaluating and implementing new sourcing opportunities You will also be able to work collaboratively across operations, planning, engineering and quality representing Supply Chain and Purchasing. The successful Supply Chain Manager will need the following experience and skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, both verbally and in writing. Strong negotiation skills, with a commercial and cost-conscious approach. Proficient in the use of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, word and Microsoft Outlook. Good understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain principles. Polymer & Plastics Industry / Injection Moulding Manufacturing: Strong knowledge of electronic component supply chains, including PCBs, batteries, sensors, semiconductors and electromechanical assemblies.
