MARS Recruitment is hiring a temporary contract Software Developer with strong C# development experience to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions within an industrial automation and manufacturing environment. The role will focus on creating and maintaining applications that integrate with production systems, automation equipment, databases, and operational reporting tools.
The successful Software Engineer candidate will work closely with manufacturing systems, automation, engineering, operations, and IT stakeholders to deliver practical software improvements that support production efficiency, data visibility, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key experience and skills:
- Strong hands-on C# development experience using .NET Core and .Net Framework as well as Modbus and S7.Net programming.
- Experience developing Windows desktop applications (WPF and Forms), Windows Services, APIs, or integration tools (using HTML/C# or Blazor) in a production or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP, REST APIs etc.
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, schema design, and data troubleshooting.
- Experience working with industrial automation, manufacturing systems, process control, or operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
