Our client is a specialist manufacturer of ground breaking PRV’s / pressure reducing valve technology. Their business has gone through exceptional growth since its inception and the aim is for their products to transform global fugitive emissions in industries such as oil & gas, gas transmission & distribution, and other process industries.
Due to the success and increasing demand for their products, they have been growing their international sales teams with a focus on the US and Middle East regions. They are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer to manage their Middle East and North Africa – MENA customers.
The Technical Sales Engineer is an entry to mid-level individual responsible for supporting the commercial team by preparing technically sound, compliant, and commercially viable proposals for customer inquiries, RFQs, and tenders. This role supports the sales cycle by coordinating with engineering, product management, and supply chain to deliver prompt, professional responses that align with customer requirements and internal standards.
Your existing technical understanding of valves will serve as a foundation for developing critical product knowledge in line with our sales strategy. Crucial to this role will be your ability to determine customer needs in order to align their value proposition with current and future expectations.
Required Skills and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experienced in operating within highly regulated environments, particularly the Oil & Gas sector, successfully managing priorities and delivering results to challenging timescales.
- Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or proposal support roles is preferred, particularly with complex engineered products, flow control equipment, or valves. However, candidates with limited experience who can demonstrate strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Proficiency in a number of the following tools:
- Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- CRM: Salesforce, Hubspot or similar
- Engineering: Solidworks PDM would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured team.
- Comfortable with travel throughout the territory for customer visits where required.
Our client offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000pa plus benefits, which includes a company contributory pension, private healthcare, death in service insurance, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays.
