MARS has partnered with a global consultancy to hire a permanent Senior Cloud Engineer to join a talented IT function. This strategic delivery partner works across both private and public enterprises on a global basis, delivering impactful change, improvements, and transformation for their clients. With an amazing company culture and values, this business prioritises its staff.
Due to growth, they now seek a Senior Cloud Engineer who is proficient in the Azure stack. This role is varied, involving standard Azure DevOps & GitHub, working with pipelines, and using Bicep for Infrastructure-as-a-code. The Cloud Engineer will assist external consultancy teams in defining technical requirements with their clients. Additionally, there is standard existing Azure Cloud support for clients and acting as a technical escalation point for internal service desks.
Our client is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with the following skills:
- SME-level experience working within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- Microsoft Azure Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) — or demonstrable equivalent security engineering experience with a commitment to achieve this certification.
- CI/CD pipeline expertise: proven experience building and maintaining pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, ensuring automated, repeatable infrastructure deployment.
- PowerShell and Azure CLI used regularly for automation, operational tasks, and reducing manual intervention.
- Azure Integration Services: proficient in Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management for integration design and implementation.
Our client offers a highly competitive salary and a generous benefits package that includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions, and 27 days holiday (not including bank holidays). They also operate a profit share scheme based on company performance, typically paid out in March and September.
