MARS has partnered with a global consultancy to hire a permanent Senior Cloud Engineer to join a talented IT function. This strategic delivery partner works across both private and public enterprises globally, delivering impactful change, improvements, and transformation for their clients. Due to growth, they seek a Senior Cloud Engineer who is proficient in the Azure stack. This role is varied, involving standard Azure DevOps & GitHub, working with pipelines, and using Bicep for Infrastructure-as-Code. The Cloud Engineer will assist external consultancy teams in defining technical requirements with their clients, provide standard Azure Cloud support, and act as a technical escalation point for internal service desks.

Qualifications:
  • SME-level experience in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) or equivalent security engineering experience with a commitment to achieve this certification.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Bicep for provisioning and managing Azure resources; IaC must be the default approach.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions for automated infrastructure deployment.
  • Regular use of PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation and operational tasks.
  • Proficiency in Azure Integration Services: Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
  • Solid experience with SOAP and REST APIs, including design, development, and secure management.
  • Experience with GitHub version control, including branching strategies and code review practices.
  • Experience in designing virtualised infrastructure environments including compute, virtualisation, storage, and security.
  • Experience with security vulnerability management and remediation.
