A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Test Engineer to join a leading international manufacturer of specialist electronics equipment. Within this role, you will test, fault-find and repair products and sub-assemblies for products including FPGA/CPU/GPU and pure software solutions.
A key requirement is an ability to interpret circuit diagrams and fault find to component level in an effective way and ensure products are tested in line with current health and safety and legal requirements and safe working practices are adhered to.
The Electronics Test Engineer will also help develop test processes, procedures and jigs/rigs that ensure efficient and effective testing of products and provide feedback on test results to help drive continuous improvement.
About you: The successful Electronics Test Engineer will be qualified to a minimum ONC or HNC level in Electronics Engineering with a high level of expertise in the testing and fault finding of analogue and digital equipment with FPGA/GPUs/CPUs and embedded software to component level. Other key elements are:
- Familiar with or knowledge of SMPTE 2110 / 2022-6 IP protocols
- Familiar with SDI, HDSDI, AES
- Familiar with or knowledge of AES67, Madi, Dante and Ravenna audio over IP protocols
- IP/IT network experience
- Experience with Xilinx/mplab platform programming via USB/header cable
- Familiar with safety requirements and capable of testing mains powered equipment
- Highly quality and customer focused with excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
