MARS Recruitment is hiring a Drone Build Technician & Pilot on behalf of a rapidly expanding autonomous systems specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about drones.
On a day-to-day basis the Drone Build Technician & Pilot will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, testing, operation and deployment of unmanned aircraft systems. This role combines technical expertise in drone construction and troubleshooting, with operational proficiency in safe and compliant flight operations. The successful candidate will ensure aircraft readiness, collect mission data, maintain regulatory compliance and contribute to continuous improvement of UAS (unmanned autonomous systems) platforms and procedures.
Key skills and experience:
- Evidential experience building, maintaining and operating unmanned aircraft systems.
- Knowledge of UAS components, electronics, propulsion systems and flight control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues.
- Experience with mission planning and ground control software.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety principles and risk management.
- Ability to work independently and in field environments.
- Strong organisational, documentation and communication skills.
