MARS has an exceptional opportunity for a Project Engineer passionate about delivering technical industrial projects in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role involves working across departments to solve complex engineering challenges and provide real operational improvements.
On a day‑to‑day basis you will manage the full lifecycle of industrial capital equipment and manufacturing projects, covering injection moulding, robotics, automation and more, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Managing industrial and manufacturing projects from start to finish
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across all project work
- Controlling project costs, budgets and timelines
- Identifying and mitigating project risks
- Coordinating with internal departments including engineering, production and operations
- Managing relationships with external contractors and suppliers
- Driving process improvements and efficient project delivery
- An engineering qualification, either apprentice trained, HNC/HND or degree level
- Experience working as a Project Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment with examples of capital equipment projects delivered
- Strong understanding of project management, ideally a project certification such as Prince2 or APM
- Knowledge of health & safety practices in industrial settings
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and contractors
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum plus bonus, plus benefits.
