As the Global R&D Communications Manager, you will execute the global R&D communication strategy that drives visibility, alignment and engagement across the R&D Community at Mars. The role delivers internal and external communications on behalf of the Mars R&D Leadership Team and works closely with a cross-segment team of R&D communicators.
Responsibilities include developing and executing global R&D broadcasts, Science, Innovation and Quality events, and the Mars R&D Awards – R&D’s signature global recognition program that celebrates outstanding talent across our community of more than 5,000 R&D Associates at Mars. The role is a member of the Global R&D Communications Team, reporting to the R&D Communications Director.

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead and develop the global R&D communications strategy, including events, content, audience, and channel development.
- Managing the execution of strategic internal R&D communications on behalf of the Mars R&D Leadership Team.
- Lead the annual R&D Update, R&D’s only written global communication.
- Partner with segment and corporate R&D communicators to deliver the bi-weekly R&D Heads Up, sharing the latest R&D-related news with the top 100 R&D leaders at Mars.
- Create collaborative partnerships across the business.
- Partner closely with communications colleagues in the segments and corporate to drive best-in‑class R&D storytelling.
- Manage and measure work. Track metrics and develop insights that drive continuous improvement and impactful R&D communications.
