As a Packaging Engineer, Data & Compliance at Mars, you will support conceptual design and development activities for new Packaging compliance reporting tools, working in partnership with systems developers to determine the sequence of development steps, develop testing and proof of principle requirements, and work with the R&D Packaging team to address any data gaps or process improvements. Significant collaboration is required with Packaging Engineers, Team Managers, and Data functional specialists to deliver an automated reporting solution for the Region.
What are we looking for?
- Ideally, a Packaging, Sustainability, or Systems Engineering-related degree.
- Demonstrated development process and packaging science experience, with specification writing and familiarity with forthcoming Packaging legislation, are essential.
- A self-starter who consistently meets or exceeds the standards and expectations of internal and external customers and consumers.
- 5+ years in Packaging Development, Sustainability, or Data Compliance-related roles.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Direct leadership of key compliance reporting projects in the packaging area, supporting the design, development, testing, and implementation of externally reported data sets in collaboration with the wider Packaging and Sustainability teams.
- Forming effective knowledge/technology networks (internal and external) to overcome hurdles to advance ideas and new concepts.
- Collaborating with other functions to pressure test new reporting tools and ensure they are fit for purpose prior to deployment.
