We are looking for a Regional Engineer (Information Technology / Operational Technology) to join our Pet Nutrition function. The purpose of this role is to support in the execution of digital initiatives on site towards our Smart Factory development. Working alongside Controls and Factory IT teams and making sure that the technical part of projects are executed with excellence. You’ll be a great communicator, actively collaborating with local/regional Controls and Factory IT + Smart Factory teams to implement or develop technical solutions. This position is a hybrid-working role, and can be based within any of our EU Pet Nutrition sites. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel around 20-30% of the time across these sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translation of initial Smart Factory engineering concepts into an engineering design and costing.
  • Execute technically new solution testing and deployment to provide advanced process control i.e.: Machine Learning algorithms, Machine vision applications, closed loop statistical process control etc.
  • Steering and Review accountability in line with the PM Methodology.
  • Executing data collection activities from Machine PLC’s and connecting to site Database to provide to digital solutions.
  • Support further technical development of Performance data collection system and its extensions i.e.: waste data, Digital FMOS.
  • Coordinate digital infrastructure extension projects with local teams (Wi‑Fi network extension, digital tool addition to workplaces).

Skills and Experience

  • You will hold an Electrical/Controls engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing process.
  • Experience in PLC programming, understanding how data is exchanged between systems, knowledge of Manufacturing systems components.
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical specifications in a clear, concise way.
  • Ideally, you will have working knowledge of cloud solutions.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
