Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in London for a Telecom Cabling Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems, cabling, and related infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient communication systems, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and deliver excellent services.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Telecommunications Systems and Telecommunications management
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional Communication and Customer Service abilities
  • Ability to work on-site and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Relevant experience with cabling and infrastructure setup is highly valued
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in telecommunications
  • Technical certification in telecommunications or related field is a plus
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of German is advantageous

  • Vodafone Site Access Certifications

Technical Experience

  • Experience in Nokia SR / MF-P / Xtran or general IP/MPLS and physical installation

SOW

  • Installation of 42U, 19-inch indoor racks
  • Integration of rectifiers, distribution, alarms, and monitoring within the cabinet

Telecom Equipment Integration & Configuration

  • Nokia SAR-H, MF-P, Xtran hardware installation
  • SR-OS software loading and pre-configuration
  • Availability of Nokia-certified engineers
  • Experience with Vodafone Three / SPEN networks

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

  • Structured FAT process with test rigs
  • Capability for documentation, evidence capture, and engineering sign-off aligned with Vodafone standards
