We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Transport Planner, based in either our Sheffield or Nottingham office. Working alongside a small team of experienced transport planners, you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a rewarding career in transport planning.

The Role

You will work within a small dedicated team for national house builders, land promoters and land owners. Your responsibilities include assisting in securing planning permissions and land allocations, collecting and analysing data, preparing preliminary highway design drawings, conducting site visits, writing reports and contributing to delivering development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing Transport Statement / Transport Assessment / Travel Plan reports.
  • Assist with preparing initial Site Access Appraisals.
  • Collect and analyse data.
  • Prepare preliminary highway design drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Work with senior officers, clients and other consultants to deliver development.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Ideally experience with AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
  • Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team‑player approach.
  • Commitment to your own personal and career development.
