Overview
Marriotts School is seeking to appoint a Head of English (Curriculum and Teaching and Learning). This is a Joint Head of Faculty position and is a full-time permanent appointment from January 2027. The successful candidate will join the expanding English Faculty at an exciting time as the school continues to grow and develop to support the students at Marriotts School.
Responsibilities
- Drive and deliver high-quality English provision across the school.
- Lead the English Faculty as a key middle leader; provide high-quality teaching and learning for students.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of English curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Support the school’s ethos and participate in appropriate extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified practitioner with experience of leadership within a secondary school, or candidates with leadership experience seeking the next step in their career.
- Enthusiastic, committed, and capable of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
