Since 1929, The Great Room and The Ball Room has welcomed royalty, presidents, actors and musicians for the most exclusive and lavish events of the London scene. The Great Room is one of Europe\’s largest and most impressive event spaces with a capacity of 2,000 guests to dine banquet style, the Great Room has always been the jewel in Grosvenor Houseu2019s crown.
This role would require you to support with drinks and wine service, whilst demonstrating exemplary customer service, always remaining approachable and professional. Basic tasks include the following:
Placing pre-ordered drinks on the correct tables prior to guests arrivals
Supporting with drinks receptions including tray service
Taking drinks orders from allocated tables and processing these orders
Delivering drinks to tables
Pouring wine and water – ensuring guests are looking after.
Proactively offering support and assisting guests when required.
There will also be opportunities to support in other capacities throughout the Conference and Banqueting department, including conference support, Green Room support, hostess-ing, attending the door and attending to the cloakroom.

Although there are exceptions, most wine waiter shifts are 10-12 hours in duration, and we are looking for candidates who are flexible with the days they are able to work. Most shifts typically start in the afternoon/evening and can involve late finishes depending on the timings of each event.
