**Position Summary**
The Finance Manager, Franchise Support & AR – EMEA plays a pivotal role within the EMEA Operations Finance team. This role oversees debt and collection management for a portfolio of approximately 1,200 managed and franchised hotels across Europe, the Middle East & Africa, with specific focus on the 700 franchised hotels.
The Finance Manager will also ensure the timely and accurate reporting of revenues and statistics for Marriott, provide billing support, and manage escalations in collaboration with the Owner Partner Relations Team. In alignment with Marriottu2019s strategic priorities, this role strengthens owner relationships, delivers onboarding and training sessions, and participates in high-level regional calls and Top Priority discussions.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Financial Oversight & Support**
Manage accounts receivable and collections, with a focus on resolving stubborn debt issues.
Audit and submit requests for refunds, write-offs, adjustments, and acceptance acts.
Partner with Owner Relations and stakeholders to establish and monitor payment plans.
Oversee franchisee month-end reporting processes ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Verify revenue and fee accuracy in franchise agreements and address any discrepancies.
Perform annual fee audits and upload RFBA billing outcomes.
Plan and execute audits to confirm compliance with franchise agreements.
Ensure correct allocation of incoming payments and compliance with PEP process.
**Strategic and Operational Contributions**
Drive improvement of owner preference metrics and overall communication effectiveness.
Support Development and Operations on conversions, openings, and growth opportunities.
Align with corporate and continent finance strategies for improved owner engagement.
Provide business case support and recommendations to franchisees for property improvement plans.
Support dispute resolution related to billing, franchisee understanding of Marriott programs and services, and compliance.
**Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership**
Build strong relationships with multi-unit owners and internal stakeholders.
Deliver onboarding training for finance leaders and newly opened hotels.
Support strategic initiatives led by Brand, Legal, Development, and Market organizations.
Collaborate with the Franchise Support team and strengthen alignment on owner needs.
Monitor key performance termination metrics and email mailboxes to ensure timely follow-ups.
**Candidate Profile**
**Experience**
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and/or hotel operations
Solid understanding of accounting principles, performance analysis, and collections
Negotiation skills and proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Familiarity with franchise agreements and owner communications
Demonstrated success in managing multi-property portfolios
