ABOUT W EDINBURGH KITCHEN: W Edinburgh brings exciting new culinary destinations to the capital of Scotland. Our signature restaurant is a partnership with SUSHISAMBA, which celebrates the culture and cuisine of Japan, Brazil and Peru. The menus are a mix of new and signature dishes with an emphasis on bold flavours, the finest ingredients and artful presentations.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel and the restaurants. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, eager to learn and committed to excellence! As Demi Chef de Partie, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Prepare all potentially hazardous foods at the correct temperature according to the HACCP guidelines.
  • Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures to ensure food served to guests is safe for consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
  • Control food waste and ensure that good food is not thrown away.
  • Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods to the Chef.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs.
