We are currently recruiting for a part time Doorperson/Porter to join our award winning Concierge team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa to work 20 hours per week. Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering great service in a professional manner and be able to work well under pressure. This key team member is responsible for:

  • Welcome guests and direct them to Reception
  • To load and unload luggage from vehicles
  • Open transport doors and greet guests
  • Protect guests at either entrance from inclement weather
  • Obtain taxis for guests or liaise with chauffeurs
  • Conduct customers to the Garage
  • To ensure Security of guest luggage left in your care and to safely store it and give guest a receipt
  • Know regular guest names and requirements
  • Accurate knowledge of hotel facilities and services
  • Be aware of daily functions, events, VIP and group arrivals
  • To carry out any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Great Customer Service Skills - Must enjoy guest interaction, be able to anticipate guest needs and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • We are looking for a proactive person who speaks fluent English, with a driver's license, who is able to stand a minimum of 8hrs a day while maintaining a smile and positive attitude and is able to lift heavy luggage.
  • Must be a Team Player – Demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit.
  • Essential Computer Skills - Knowledge of Opera is preferred, Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible with shifts and weekend work required.
