A peek behind the scenes of your role
As an Accounting Clerk, you\’ll support the financial operations of our hotels by accurately processing revenues, invoices, and payments. You will monitor bank transactions, cash flow, and expenditures, ensuring correct application of accounting rules. Your contribution keeps our financial administration smooth and reliable, playing a vital role in the stability of the Granit hotel group.
Your tasks will include:
- Ensuring that all hotel revenues are correctly registered and followed up.
- Monitoring outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- Processing supplier invoices and ensuring compliance with VAT legislation.
- Recording payments, reconciling bank transactions, and managing cash flow forecasts.
- Supporting expense monitoring and inventory management.
- Assisting in budget creation, reporting, and ensuring compliance with Belgian accounting standards.
Together, these responsibilities help keep our financial administration watertight.
Who are we looking for?
- A degree in accounting, finance, or hotel management – or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience in accounting or front office, preferably in the hotel sector.
- Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and VAT regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail-because numbers deserve precision.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software; experience with Opera PMS is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and English-additional languages are welcome, but a good Excel formula counts too!
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to switch between tasks.
