Team Leader required with good organisational skills in a busy Press shop environment, showing good communication with a positive, proactive attitude. Responsible for leading a small team of production operators as well as managing the day-to-day operations of their area, processes and systems. Flexibility to respond and display practicality with hands-on ability. FLT Licence essential.
Supervise and Manage:
- Oversee daily operations of the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively and targets are met in line with Quality and H&S standards.
- Develop the team, build confidence ensuring strong credibility of your area and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Driving Fork lift truck when required to meet production targets, with a hands-on proactive approach.
- Ensure the Company’s requirements on housekeeping are met.
- Hold briefings with team members as required.
- Use the maintenance system to identify tools or assets that require repair/refurbishment.
- Troubleshoot machine/Equipment or Parts issues.
- Pass off production runs as required.
- Setting of equipment (Presses or Assembly processes) in line with formal training.
- Operating equipment when necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Manage consumable stock levels and ensure timely re-ordering.
Essential:
- Previous Team Leader / Supervisor experience.
- Background in Manufacturing/Engineering.
- Strong people management skills (Including ER issues).
- Basic IT Skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel with good numeric and literacy ability.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Standards.
- FLT Driving licence.
Shift Pattern & hours:
- Rotating Early & Back shift 37.50 hours per week.
- 6.00am to 14.15pm Mon-Thurs. Fri 6.00am to 12.30pm (5 day Working Week).
- 14.00pm to midnight Mon-Wed. Thurs 14.00pm to 23.30pm (4 day Working week).
Rate of Pay: £17.61 with Shift Allowance supplement for Early/Back shift. This equates to Average Basic Earnings of £36,500 plus overtime. Hourly Rate weekly paid. Free on-site car parking. Employee Assistance.
