As Marqeta’s Key Account Manager, you will partner with a cross‑functional team and manage one of our global strategic accounts. You will bring a strong track record of growth and deep relationship‑building experience to provide exceptional client service, uncover revenue‑generating opportunities and workable solutions to your customers. You persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your customer to understand how our product offerings can grow their business. The role is a hybrid position. Employees must be based within 35 miles of our London office and are expected to work on site two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) with the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of commercial account management experience
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email) and a track record of creating and executing strategic account plans
  • Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Hands‑on experience negotiating contracts, pricing models and renewals
  • Extensive knowledge of fintech, banking, payments and money movement

Key Skills And Competencies

  • Proven experience growing and scaling strategic or enterprise accounts
  • Proven track record of managing global customers with multi‑region stakeholders
  • Proven track record of cross‑selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy‑in at multiple levels across the organisation
  • Experience leading business reviews and using data‑driven strategies to make informed decisions
  • Experience in acquiring, card issuing or processing
