Marpol Security are seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team in the Warrington area.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a high standard of professionalism and deliver high-quality security services while representing both Marpol Security and our clients to the highest standards. As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment, providing a strong and visible deterrent to criminal and unauthorised activity.
Working as part of a professional security team, or independently in a lone-working capacity, you will be responsible for protecting client premises, personnel, visitors and assets. The role will require you to remain vigilant and proactive at all times, whilst maintaining excellent standards of customer service and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Protect and secure client premises and personnel by conducting regular patrols of property, equipment and access points, controlling entry and ensuring access is restricted to authorised personnel.
Maintain a proactive security presence by observing for signs of crime, disorder, suspicious activity or disturbances, reporting irregularities and taking appropriate action to help prevent loss, theft, damage or unauthorised activity.
Provide a professional and customer-focused service when dealing with clients, staff, contractors and visitors, including concierge and front-of-house duties where required. Officers must remain courteous, approachable and professional at all times.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including logbook entries, occurrence reports, incident reports and other relevant documentation. All incidents occurring whilst on duty must be reported clearly, accurately and in sufficient detail.
Work in accordance with all site requirements, ensuring risk assessments, assignment instructions, company procedures and customer requirements are followed at all times. Officers must take appropriate care of all equipment and uniform issued to them and conduct themselves in a manner that brings credit to Marpol Security Ltd.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience within the security industry
- Good working knowledge of electronic applications and mobile technology, including tablets and smartphones
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly when dealing with incidents, alarms or challenging situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Professional and proactive attitude acting as an ambassador for the company
Desirable:
- Driving Licence and Access to a vehicle
- Previous experience of using Security Industry applications
