Maroon Invest Global is excited to continue expanding its GP Investment Team globally to support regional coverage and execution, with the addition of a General Partner for Venture / Growth Capital (Equity & Debt) in UK & Europe.
Please note Candidates need to have been legally resident in their current UK or European city for at least 18 months prior as reflecting their investment track record & venture/LP relationships. This is not a generic position.
Maroon Invest Global is a dynamic, global investor-operator platform committed to accelerating and advancing Healthy Aging, Healthspan & Longevity Science tackling critical areas under-innovated and under-funded by investing in proactive, personalized Precision Medicine & Preventative Healthcare for early protocols, diagnostics, and therapies in the reduction of chronic Population Health conditions, and direct Climate Impact on Health.
The investment team has an exceptional track record as prior general partners in multiple funds (across venture capital, growth equity, private equity), LP investors in funds, and successful founders that have exited their companies including in the US and international public markets.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Geographical Coverage for Maroon operations in the UK & Europe
- Fundraising/capital raising on a direct fund or co-investor basis from institutional LPs
- Investment acquisition, execution, and value creation in early-stage venture capital or growth capital
- Portfolio management including board seats on portfolio companies
- Venture and investor eco-system building
- Brand-building and thought leadership in the areas of focus for firm
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – Non-Negotiable:
- Demonstrated Investment Expertise in Preventative Health, Precision Medicine, Integrated Medicine, Genetics or Regenerative Medicine.
- Investment Track Record of min. 5.0x Net MOIC in venture / growth capital (equity and/or debt) as evidenced in Investment Deal Sheet (min. 5 years) as a private investor, venture capital, or institutional investor.
- Fundraising Track Record resulting in the close of $5-10mm+ from family office and institutional LPs.
- Commercialisation Exits in early stage / growth stage venture capital including strategic and/or public market exits.
- GP Contribution Ability: to fund the pro-rata share of your GP contribution, or be backed by your LP sponsor.
- Location: United Kingdom (strong preference) or Europe only; and you have been established for at least 18 months in one of these countries, including with an investment track record.
POSITION TERMS:
- Title: General Partner – Venture / Growth Capital
- Start Date: ASAP subject to any customary transition period
- Growth Stage: Pre-Seed to Series B/C+; Equity & Debt
- Time Allocation: Full-time or initial part-time (at least 50%) during a transition period to Full-Time
- Carry: Competitive based on your GP value-add to Fund performance
- Salary: Market based on prior track record
