Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a global entrance solutions company seeking to recruit an Industrial Door Engineer to join its North London engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer looking to broaden their skill set and transition into the growing automatic-door sector. Full manufacturer training will be provided, allowing you to build on your existing electrical and mechanical experience while developing expertise across a wide range of automatic entrance systems.
Whether you enjoy carrying out planned preventative maintenance or prefer reactive fault-finding and breakdown work, there is flexibility to tailor the role around your strengths and preferences. Engineers can choose between a PPM route or a Service/Callout route.
Commutable from: Wembley, Harrow, Edgware, Watford, Camden, Wood Green, Hackney, Stratford, Tottenham, Enfield, Barnet, Potters Bar, and surrounding areas.
Industrial Door Engineer Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair automatic door systems, with full training provided
- Carry out either planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits or reactive service and breakdown work, depending on your preference
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently
- Complete minor installation and upgrade works where required
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Participate in the on-call rota (optional)
The Ideal Industrial Door Engineer
- At least 6 months' experience working on industrial doors, roller shutters, high-speed doors or similar entrance systems
- Engineers from automatic doors or revolving doors are also encouraged to apply
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills - ESSENTIAL
- DHF qualifications - DESIRABLE
- EN16005 or BS7036 certification - DESIRABLE (training available if not held)
- Full UK Driving Licence - ESSENTIAL
