Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a reputable independent mobility engineering company in Kent, now looking to recruit a Trainee Lift Engineer to join their growing team. This role is service and repair only – no installations required. The position will involve assisting with the service and repair of both through-the-floor home lifts and stairlifts, covering a localised patch across Southeast England.
Commutable from: Tonbridge, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Chatham, Dartford, Rainham, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough.
Trainee Lift Engineer Responsibilities:
- Assisting with service and repair of straight and curved stairlifts from multiple manufacturers
- Service and repair of through-the-floor home lifts
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Deliver high levels of customer service at all times
- Complete accurate service records and adhere to safety standards
- Attend occasional call-outs (approx. 1 every 3 weeks)
The Ideal Trainee Lift Engineer:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in an electrical or mechanical role
- Strong mechanical and electrical skill set – ESSENTIAL
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition) – ESSENTIAL
- Willing to be trained with stairlifts or home lifts
- Experience with through-the-floor lifts, platform lifts, hoists or similar – DESIRABLE
- NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Engineering – DESIRABLE
- CSCS and/or SSSTS – DESIRABLE
- Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
