Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Stairlift Engineering Manager to join an established stairlift manufacturer in a senior, field-based role.
Acting as deputy to the Head of Region, you will support and develop partner engineering teams across the Midlands and Yorkshire, using your technical expertise to improve product knowledge, installation standards and overall performance. You will connect external partners with internal departments, resolve complex technical issues and deliver practical training. Regular regional travel is required, with occasional visits to partners in other areas.
Responsibilities:
- Support and develop partner engineers, surveyors and technical teams.
- Deliver product training, technical guidance and practical coaching.
- Onboard new partners and provide first-order technical support.
- Improve right-first-time surveying, installation and fault resolution.
- Manage complex technical and product-related issues through to resolution.
- Work with internal departments to improve partner performance and support regional objectives.
- Support new product launches, software updates and technical guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of training, visits, technical cases and follow-up actions.
Requirements:
- Experience in engineering management, technical support, field training or a partner-facing technical role.
- Strong knowledge of stairlifts, mobility products or similar technical equipment.
- Experience delivering technical training and developing engineering performance.
- Proven ability to resolve escalated technical, installation or customer issues.
- Strong communication, leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build effective partner relationships.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.
- Stairlift surveying, installation, servicing or fault-finding experience is desirable.
- Experience working with a partner or distributor network is desirable.
- A technical, engineering, training or coaching qualification is desirable.
