A reputable independent stairlift company in Kent is looking to recruit an experienced Stairlift Engineer to join its growing team. This role is service and repair only – no installations required. The position will involve working on both stairlifts and through-the-floor home lifts, covering a localised patch across Southeast England.
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + benefits
Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Service and repair of straight and curved stairlifts from multiple manufacturers
- Service and repair of through-the-floor home lifts
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Deliver high levels of customer service at all times
- Complete accurate service records and adhere to safety standards
- Attend occasional call-outs (approx. 1 every 3 weeks)
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working on mobility equipment – ESSENTIAL
- Strong mechanical and electrical skill set – ESSENTIAL
- Electrical qualifications – ESSENTIAL
- Experience installing stairlifts or home lifts – DESIRABLE
- Experience with through-the-floor lifts, platform lifts, hoists or similar – DESIRABLE
- NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Engineering – DESIRABLE
- CSCS and/or SSSTS – DESIRABLE
- Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
Manufacturer experience beneficial: Stannah, Meditek, Minivator, Handicare, Freeway, Acorn, Bison, Wessex, Terry’s, Pollock, Chiltern, Robin, OT200, Guldmann
