Marmon Lift Recruitment works with a global entrance solutions company to hire an Industrial Door Engineer for its North London engineering team. The role offers full manufacturer training and the chance to broaden skills and transition into the growing automatic‑door sector. Develop expertise across a wide range of automatic entrance systems, with flexibility to tailor the role around your strengths—PPM (planned preventive maintenance) or Service/Callout routes.
Commutable from: Wembley, Harrow, Edgware, Watford, Camden, Wood Green, Hackney, Stratford, Tottenham, Enfield, Barnet, Potters Bar, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair automatic door systems, with full training provided
- Carry out either planned preventive maintenance (PPM) visits or reactive service and breakdown work, depending on your preference
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently
- Complete minor installation and upgrade works where required
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Participate in the on‑call rota (optional)
- At least 6 months' experience working on industrial doors, roller shutters, high‑speed doors or similar entrance systems
- Experience with automatic doors or revolving doors is also encouraged
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills – ESSENTIAL
- DHF qualifications – DESIRABLE
- EN16005 or BS7036 certification – DESIRABLE (training available if not held)
- Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
