Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking a hands-on, technically minded Warehouse Supervisor to lead an established stairlift warehousing operation in West Yorkshire. This is not a typical supervisory role within a commercial distribution centre: it’s ideally suited to an ex-Stairlift Engineer or someone from an electrical, mechanical or construction-based warehouse background who understands engineering components, technical parts, and workshop environments rather than high-volume parcel distribution.

The Warehouse Supervisor Role

  • Supervise and lead the warehouse team, setting standards and driving performance
  • Manage engineering stock, parts & logistics across the operation
  • Take ownership of stock accuracy and inventory control using existing systems (SBO)
  • Oversee the strip-down of stairlifts for reusable components
  • Support and coordinate the build of reconditioned stairlifts
  • Organise and optimise the workshop floor layout and processes
  • Identify and implement improvements to workflow, efficiency and stock handling
  • Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times

The Ideal Warehouse Supervisor Candidate

  • Ex-Stairlift Engineer – desirable
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role within an electrical/mechanical/construction/building merchant warehouse – essential
  • Strong understanding of engineering parts and assemblies – essential
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and organise a team – essential
  • Highly organised, proactive and confident, taking ownership of operations – essential
  • Comfortable problem-solving and driving continuous improvement – essential
