Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with an established entrance systems specialist seeking an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to cover the Home Counties, London, Cambridge and Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team specialising in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automatic door and entrance systems across commercial, public-sector, healthcare, education and facilities management environments.
Overtime & Rota
- 1.5x hourly rate for hours over 45 Monday-Friday and Saturdays; 2x hourly rate Sundays and Bank Holidays.
- 1-in-9 weekly rota with a £250 rota cover payment.
- Out-of-hours quoted works payments.
Automatic Door Engineer Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, fault-find and repair automatic door systems
- Carry out upgrades, modifications, installations, testing and commissioning
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently
- Ensure work complies with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Deliver high-quality customer service and complete accurate documentation
- Work independently and as part of the engineering team across the coverage area
The Ideal Automatic Door Engineer
- Automatic door service, repair, fault-finding and installation experience - ESSENTIAL
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills - ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of industry standards, including BS EN 16005 - ESSENTIAL
- Current CSCS Card - ESSENTIAL
- ADSA, DHF or Gate Safe qualifications - DESIRABLE
- Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills - ESSENTIAL
- Full UK Driving Licence, preferably clean - ESSENTIAL
