Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Installation Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to join a well-established independent lift engineering company that delivers new lift installations and modernisation projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business specialising in high-quality lift installations, working on a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, and local authority projects. Commutable from: Dartford, South East London, Bromley, Bexley, Sidcup, Orpington, Croydon, Greenwich, Lewisham, Eltham, Woolwich, Gravesend, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities of a Lift Engineer:
- Carry out the installation, modernisation, and commissioning of passenger and goods lifts across a range of projects.
- Install lift equipment, controllers, and associated electrical and mechanical components in accordance with industry standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and installation specifications.
- Work with hard-wired control systems and independent, open protocol lift equipment.
- Complete installation documentation accurately while maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety.
- Liaise professionally with site teams, contractors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
Requirements of a Lift Engineer:
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) & ER202 certification - Essential
- Full UK driving licence - Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in lift installations, modernisations, and new lift projects - Essential.
- Experience working with independent, open protocol systems rather than closed manufacturer platforms.
- Strong background working with hard-wired control systems.
- Experience delivering projects to heavy-duty and local authority specifications.
- Live within a commutable distance of London, preferably South East London.
