Fabrication Team Leader Welding Supervision | Fabrication Operations | Production Leadership Location: Coventry, West Midlands Rate: £21-£24 per hour + bonus Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:15am-4:30pm | Friday, 7:15am-12:15pm Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabrication Team Leader to oversee a skilled team of fabricators and welders within a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a previous Welding Supervisor or Fabrication Foreman to take on a hands-on leadership role, driving production performance, quality and continuous improvement. The business specialises in high-quality welded assemblies for the aerospace and defence sectors, delivering projects ranging from prototypes and batch production to full-scale manufacturing and installation. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and develop fabricators and welders to achieve production targets. Allocate labour, manage workflow and ensure customer deadlines are met. Interpret engineering drawings and maintain high standards of fabrication and welding quality. Coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Logistics to resolve production issues. Promote health and safety, conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with PPE requirements. Support performance reviews, attendance monitoring and team development. Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S and continuous improvement initiatives. Support compliance with EN 15085, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Assist the Operations Manager with capacity planning and resource management. The Ideal Candidate Proven leadership experience in a fabrication or welding environment - ESSENTIAL. Strong MIG/TIG welding knowledge and the ability to interpret engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL. Previous experience as a Welding Supervisor or Fabrication Foreman - DESIRABLE. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. A hands-on approach with a strong focus on quality, safety and productivity. Experience in aerospace, defence, CNC laser cutting, press brakes or Lean Manufacturing - DESIRABLE. Salary & Benefits £21-£24 per hour, depending on experience, plus bonus.
