Marmon Lift Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Lift Technician (NVQ Level 4 qualified or equivalent) to join a well-established national lift engineering company covering Cardiff and the surrounding South Wales area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing lift business with a strong regional presence and the backing of a national engineering group. You'll work across a varied portfolio of passenger and goods lifts, providing technical support, advanced fault-finding, servicing, repairs, and breakdown assistance. Commutable from: Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Barry, Penarth, Bridgend, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Blackwood, and surrounding South Wales areas.
Key Responsibilities of a Lift Technician:
- Carry out advanced fault-finding, servicing, repairs, and technical diagnostics across a varied portfolio of passenger and goods lifts.
- Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical faults, identifying effective solutions and returning equipment to service safely and efficiently.
- Attend lift breakdowns and call-outs, providing a professional and responsive service to customers across the region.
- Support other service and repair engineers with technical guidance on challenging faults where required.
- Assist with major repairs and modernisation works, ensuring lifts are completed to the required technical and safety standards.
- Accurately complete service reports and technical documentation while working safely in accordance with industry regulations, company procedures, and health & safety legislation.
Requirements of a Lift Technician:
- NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) - Essential.
- Full UK driving licence - Essential.
- Strong experience working within lift service, repair, or technical fault-finding.
- Excellent electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with a range of lift manufacturers, equipment, and control systems.
- Comfortable working independently and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Live within a commutable distance of Cardiff / South Wales.
