Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking a motivated Lift Installer to join an established independent lift engineering company, working throughout Bristol and the surrounding area.
No prior lift industry experience is required. This opportunity is ideal for someone with an electrical or mechanical background who wants to transfer their skills to the lift industry and develop a long-term engineering career. You will receive specialist training and practical support while learning to service, maintain and fault-find across a varied portfolio of lift equipment.
The Lift Installer Role
- Assist with the planned servicing and maintenance of passenger and goods lifts.
- Learn how to inspect, test and maintain electrical and mechanical lift components.
- Support experienced engineers with fault-finding, breakdowns and minor repairs.
- Develop an understanding of different lift systems, equipment and manufacturers.
- Identify worn or defective components and report any required remedial work.
- Complete service documentation accurately using the company's systems.
- Follow all health and safety procedures while working on customer sites.
- Build the technical knowledge required to work independently as a Lift Engineer.
Ideal Lift Installer Candidate
- Practical experience or qualifications within an electrical or mechanical field.
- Suitable backgrounds could include electrical installation, industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a related discipline.
