Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Location: Dudley
Hours: Monday-Friday, 44 hours per week
Travel: Occasional UK travel

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to take responsibility for HSE across two manufacturing sites.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining compliance, improving safety culture and driving the business towards ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HSE strategy, policies and management systems across both sites.
• Drive progress towards ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and permits.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Oversee contractor safety, permits to work and RAMS.
• Chair monthly HSE meetings and monitor HSE KPIs.
• Deliver toolbox talks, training and safety initiatives.
• Manage environmental, waste, energy and sustainability initiatives.
• Liaise with regulators, insurers, clients and external auditors.
• Report HSE performance and significant risks to senior management.

About You

• Proven HSE experience within heavy manufacturing, foundry or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial HSE risks and controls.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Strong risk assessment, auditing and incident investigation experience.
• Confident influencing and coaching teams at all levels.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent qualification desirable.
