Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer for a well-established lift company covering Essex and Cambridgeshire. The majority of the route is based within Cambridge, with additional sites in the Chelmsford area. The successful engineer will maintain a portfolio of approximately 400 passenger and goods lifts, including around 300 units within Cambridge. This role is ideal for a lift engineer who lives in Essex and doesn't want to work in London.
The Lift Engineer Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on passenger and goods lifts.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER, SAFed and current safety standards.
- Complete service documentation accurately.
- Participate in call-out and overtime activities as required.
- Coverage area: Colchester, Cambridge and Suffolk – no London work.
- Regular overtime available, including minor repairs, safety edges, stop switches and remedial works.
Requirements of a Lift Engineer:
- NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering.
- Experience in lift servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
- Strong diagnostic and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Lives within a commutable distance of Chelmsford.
