£45,000 - £50,000 + per annum based on hours worked ), negotiable dependent on experience and skill level

• Core Hours

  • Monday - Friday (40-52 hours per week)
  • 4 on/4 off Shift Pattern
  • 8am start, finish times may vary
  • With experience, increased skills and strong performance, pay can increase over time, with ongoing training & development opportunities.

About You

We’re keen to speak with Maintenance Engineers who have experience within manufacturing environments, ideally FMCG or food production, although this is not essential.

Our ideal candidate will be a proactive and adaptable individual with strong fault-finding skills and a solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineering role, preferably within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with machine maintenance and breakdown response.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to shifts and business needs.
  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent) would be desirable but not essential.
  • Due to the nature of this role, candidates must have a permanent

Right to Work in the UK, residing within a commutable distance to Bedale.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of production operations.

Working closely with production teams, you’ll help maintain high standards of performance, safety, and reliability across all equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of production machinery.
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Working collaboratively with production teams to optimise machine performance.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and food safety standards.
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Contributing to ongoing factory development projects.
