We are searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy in Harrogate that offers excellent career progression and strategic involvement opportunities. Working across healthcare, commercial, industrial, heritage, and residential projects, this consultancy provides continuous exposure to a variety of projects.

Candidates must be a UK resident with full UK working rights and live within a commutable distance to Leeds. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key Skills & Experience
  • RICS chartered or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification Quantity Surveyor experience.
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar related degree.
  • Proven experience on private sector projects - Commercial, Healthcare, residential, industrial, retail.
  • Strong pre- and post- contract experience. JCT and NEC suite of contracts.
  • A background in construction; solid understanding of tender processes.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must be a UK Resident residing within the local area.
The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for assessing and managing the full commerciality of projects and delivering cost consultancy services for a variety of clients, projects and developments. You will provide valued insight into the profitability and risks associated with existing and future client projects, whilst managing and overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, from feasibility through to final account.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest of standards.
  • Establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
  • Preparing and analysing project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
  • Preparing tender and contract documents; negotiating contracts and work schedules.
  • Contract administration including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Providing cost analysis, advice, and reports to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.
