We’re searching for a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to take ownership of our client’s established Data Analytics team and drive the evolution of their data services offering. This is a hands-on role working closely with clients on a diverse range of projects and data across marketing performance, sales, e-commerce, inventory and operations, using tools such as Power BI and Google Sheets to bring data to life in a way that’s intuitive, engaging and valuable to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead & coach the Data Analytics team, supporting professional development, encouraging knowledge sharing, and maintaining a positive working environment.
Client Relationship Management:
Power BI Development & Insight Delivery: Design, build, and maintain intuitive & white-labelled Power BI dashboards & reports, presenting insights, recommendations, and reporting solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data Integration, Modelling & Analytics: Extract, transform, and consolidate data from a variety of sources, building scalable data models and advanced DAX calculations to support KPI reporting, trend analysis, and business performance measurement.
Data Governance, Security & Compliance: Maintain and develop data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, compliance, and the effective management of Power BI workspaces and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Data Quality Assurance: Monitor reporting environments, troubleshoot data issues, oversee scheduled refreshes, and ensure the highest standards of reporting accuracy across all client projects.
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, methodologies, and analytical capabilities, helping to shape and strengthen the overall data service offering.
Previous experience: Previous experience as a Lead Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst or similar is essential. Leadership / Management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing a team. Experience working within a Marketing Agency, Digital Agency, or Marketing Consultancy is preferred.
Technical Skills: Advanced expertise in Power BI Desktop & Service, Power Query (M), complex DAX, data modelling, workspace administration, and report deployment. Strong SQL skills, with experience querying, transforming, and consolidating data from multiple data sources. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for clients and colleagues. Strong understanding of data governance, reporting accuracy, security, and best practice. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with Google BigQuery, Azure, Python, R, or a broader understanding of business functions such as sales, inventory, operations, and financial KPI reporting would be highly advantageous.
