We are searching for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an FMCG manufacturer based in Harrogate. This business has impressive growth plans and offers exceptional training and career development opportunities. Alongside growth and development, you will work a great shift pattern that gives you alternate weekends off.
Candidates must be a UK resident with full UK working rights and live within a commutable distance to Leeds. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
Salary: Up to £50,000 pa, dependent on experience.

About You:
We are looking to speak with candidates that have prior experience in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG industry, preferably food and beverage, although mechanical or electrical maintenance experience is more important. Ideally, you will be a multi-skilled engineer, with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, fault finding and resolution; with solid automated process control/PLC experience and servo motor control knowledge.
Key Skills:
- Electrical fault finding and installation/testing
- Ability to replace set up inverters/controllers
- Mechanical servicing and repairs - Welding/turning
- Understanding of site services: Compressors, steam boilers, water treatment, electrical distribution
- Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
- Understanding of network control ASi systems
- PLC programming experience: Siemens, Allen Bradley
- Process control fault finding
The Role:
Your role as engineer will be to continuously monitor and report on all equipment performance, alongside maintaining and repairing plant and equipment when necessary. You will work alongside multiple departments to ensure equipment is operated in the defined manner whilst constantly contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault finding, repairs and maintenance on high speed, automated manufacturing machinery
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech machinery, predominately Krones
- Ensuring all engineering procedures are adhered to including Health and Safety, quality, hygiene, and general housekeeping
- Observing, recognising, and reporting on machinery and component defects or symptoms of impending failure, escalating potential problems
- Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major issues and communicating to the wider team
