About You
Candidate must be a UK resident with permanent UK working rights and reside within Harrogate or surrounding areas. No visa sponsorship is available for overseas candidates. We seek a multi-skilled engineer with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, fault finding and resolution skills, solid automated process control/PLC experience, and servo motor control knowledge. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG industry, preferably food and beverage, is desirable but mechanical or electrical maintenance experience is more important.

The Role
Your role as engineer will be to continuously monitor and report on all equipment performance, maintain and repair plant and equipment when necessary, and work alongside multiple departments to ensure equipment is operated in the defined manner while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, repairs and maintenance on high-speed, automated manufacturing machinery.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech machinery, predominately Krones.
- Ensuring all engineering procedures are adhered to, including health and safety, quality, hygiene, and general housekeeping.
- Observing, recognising, and reporting machinery and component defects or symptoms of impending failure, escalating potential problems.
- Performing root cause analysis (RCA) on major issues and communicating findings to the wider team.
