Reporting to the Head of Technical Design, the successful candidate will work closely with Sales and play a key role in scoping, designing & presenting bespoke Technical Solutions proposals to new and existing clients. The role involves occasional out of hours work and will be required to travel from office locations and customer sites.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Sales in qualifying opportunities, assessing customer requirements, and develop bespoke technical solution proposals.
  • Present and review the solution in detail with customers, justifying the basis and case for the design and commercials, emphasising the commercial benefits, value add, and ROI.
  • Assist and where required be the solution lead in the production of responses to tenders, proposals including design, pricing, and supplier engagement.
  • Create the technical design and solution description documentation.
  • Establish assumptions and risks of the solution and assist in managing these throughout the transition process.
  • Follow internal processes for approval and cost sign off, working with the commercial team to ensure clients are presented with accurate pricing.
  • Work closely with the project management / operations team during the transition to handover.
  • Ensure customer deadlines are achieved and work with sales to help customer manage expectations.
  • Ensure all relevant activity related to opportunities are recorded, updated, and maintained on Salesforce.
  • Contribute to the development of the business’ product offering, providing potential new opportunities and propositions.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in an end‑to‑end Solutions Architect or Technical Design Consultant role or similar is essential.
  • Apple / Jamf Experience is essential.
  • Proven experience of leading bids, winning contracts and writing complex technical solutions proposals of varied sizes.
  • Analytical and logical mindset; the ability to understand a customer’s IT environment & requirements and translate into relevant solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written, and communication skills with the ability to present to and negotiate with senior stakeholders.

  • Jamf Pro, Connect & Protect, Jamf School / MIS programmes
  • iOS, MacOS and TVOS operating systems
  • Apple Business Manager / DEP
  • Apple hardware range eg Macbook, iMACs, iPhones, iPads, Mac Mini
  • Endpoint Protection Products and features relevant to Mac and Windows environments
  • Identity solutions Azure AD, OKTA
  • Other MDM / MAM Solutions preferably Microsoft Intune relevant to iOS environments
  • Microsoft Autopilot and Whiteglove
  • Data Loss Protection Solutions in a Mac and Windows environment
  • NAS solutions, Synology, QNAP
  • Microsoft Server, Microsoft Cloud Services: Microsoft 365, Azure
  • Microsoft SQL design principles
  • Back‑up, replication, disaster recovery and availability solutions eg Veaam / Acronis
  • Authentication and Identity Management services eg AD / Azure AD / OKTA / 2FA / MFA
  • Managed Services
  • Good general understanding of Networking and Security Solutions for Tier 1 vendors
  • Desktop / EUC Design Principles
