An ambitious and independent accountancy practice in West Yorkshire is offering a rare opportunity to join their growing leadership team. With a long-standing reputation for excellence and a forward-thinking mindset, this firm is looking for a talented Audit and Accounts Manager to play a key role in shaping their future, and yours.
Up to £60,000 pa, Dependent on Experience
35 hours per week + paid overtime
Based in Bingley, West Yorkshire – Must be within reasonable commuting distance
Hybrid Working and Flexible Working Hours (3 days office, 2 from home)
Must have audit experience in independent UK accountancy firms.
Must be UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK
We’re specifically seeking candidates with audit/accounts experience in independent UK accountancy practices. Experience gained solely in large global firms (e.g., Big Four or Top 10) may not be suitable for this role due to the nature of our client base and working style.
Key Skills and Experience:- 5 years’ post-qualification audit experience in a UK independent firm
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Previous management experience is preferred, but strong seniors ready to step up will also be considered
- Technically strong with excellent knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
- Natural leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
- A client-first and pro-active way of working
- Full UK driving licence
We’re searching for an experienced Audit and Accounts Manager, or an Audit Senior who is ready to step into a management role. As a qualified Audit and Accounts Manager, you’ll be entrusted with managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. This is a 50/50 audit and non-audit split with a strong advisory element, offering you variety and challenge every day.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
- Undertaking audit and accounts assignments to high standards
- Managing, developing, and inspiring a team of seniors and more junior members
- Reviewing and finalising high-quality audit and accounts work
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships, and adding value
- Contributing to firm initiatives and process improvements
- Supporting directors with special projects and advisory assignments
- Managing work in progress and billing including agreement of fees
You’ll be joining a well-established firm serving a diverse range of clients across sectors, providing statutory audits, full accountancy and tax services including payroll, wealth management, growth and advisory services.
