About the role
We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated individual to join us working alongside our team of experienced environmental and health and safety consultants. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional to support our UK-wide client base in navigating their legal obligations. In this role, you'll be the key point of contact for clients, scheduling remote and on-site audits to assess compliance with environmental and safety legislation. You'll identify legal non-compliance, compile comprehensive legal registers, and provide expert guidance on ISO 14001 and 45001 standards. You’ll also play a vital role in keeping clients informed about evolving EHS legislation and helping them meet their legal requirements with confidence. If you thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment and have a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you! This role will provide key support to our clients and therefore you will need to be available to travel occasionally to client sites. You can expect to be on the road once a week.
What you’ll be getting up to
- Liaising with clients to book remote meetings or site visits
- Conduct on-site and remote audits for our UK-wide client base to gather information required for their legal registers
- Identify legal non-compliance during site audits and questionnaires
- Create environment and safety legal registers in Word format to assist clients in complying with ISO 14001 and 45001 standard requirements
- Create and update an aspects and impacts register
- Assist clients in understanding and complying with their legal requirements in relation to environmental and safety law
- Answer client queries in regard to environment and health and safety legislation
- Keep on top of and understand legislation changes
- Carry out regular updates on legal register documents and inform clients on changes in EHS legislation
- Keep the CMS and client portal accurate and up-to-date
- Keep all paperwork and weekly reports correct and submitted on time

In order to excel in this role, you need…
- Experience and understanding of environmental health and safety, either through completing a degree, other professional qualifications such as PIEMA or NEBOSH or having worked in an Environmental or Health and Safety role
- A passion for environmental and health and safety laws – you’ll need to understand UK and EU legal systems and be able to interpret and translate complex legislation into plain English
- Strong analytical and research skills – to interpret client needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – confidently engaging with clients and providing expert advice and well-structured reports
- To be super organised - your ability to manage multiple tasks will be key to success in this role
- To be self-motivated and a team player – whilst you spend most of your time working independently, you’ll be working with a supportive and experienced team
- To be tech-savvy – you’ll regularly be using software systems and the Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
- A valid UK driving licence – you’ll be travelling to client sites as part of this role
