We are looking for a Financial Accounts Manager who will play a key role in delivering financial stability, compliance, and process excellence across the Marlowe Environmental Services Group.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end financial activities including reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll postings and expense processes.
- Ensure statutory compliance with VAT, CIS, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee and improve financial controls, reconciliation quality, and month-end efficiency.
- Supervise and support three direct reports, providing leadership, coaching, and workload oversight.
- Review payroll postings, expense transactions, credit card processing, and reimbursement accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee bonus and commission calculations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Lead intercompany reporting processes across the group.
- Review quarterly VAT returns across 14 entities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational finance performance.
- Build strong collaboration with Finance Shared Services and wider business teams.
- Develop performance KPIs and monitor output quality across the finance team.
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:
- ACA or CIMA qualified (or newly qualified).
- Strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting controls.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, data analysis, and modelling.
- Experience with Sage 200 preferred; willingness to learn new systems essential.
- Familiarity with CIS processes is advantageous.
