Marlowe Fire & Security is the fastest‑growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we help prevent, detect and manage fire and security risks for customers across the country. We are looking to appoint an experienced Portable Fire Extinguisher Engineer covering the North East region.

Remuneration: Competitive base salary with OTE between £38,000–£40,000 (including basic salary, overtime, travel time and commission). Pension, life assurance and additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose reels and fire suppression systems for a diverse range of local clients.
  • Install, service and maintain portable fire extinguishers, hose reels and kitchen fire suppression systems.
  • Adhere to current industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Plan and conduct service visits efficiently to meet customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Manage equipment and vehicle stock effectively.
  • Contribute to a professional team environment while maintaining high service standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing of fire extinguishers.
  • Relevant qualifications such as BAFE, FETA or an equivalent certification.
  • Background in mechanical fire service or related technical fields.
  • Strong customer‑service skills with clear and professional communication.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Experience with additional mechanical fire systems is highly advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
