Maintenance Estimator/Pricing Modellor – Salford Quays / Hybrid working available
Due to an extraordinary period of growth, Marlowe Fire & Security is seeking a focused and enthusiastic individual with strong attention to detail to support the completion of major bid opportunities and sales proposals.
The Maintenance Estimator/Pricing Modeller will play a critical role in shaping our commercial success by creating precise and competitive pricing for Fire & Security maintenance contracts, including end-user contracts and framework agreements with facility management companies.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze costs, forecast profitability, and collaborate with internal teams to prepare comprehensive pricing proposals.
- Develop robust pricing models incorporating labour, materials, subcontractor costs, compliance, and overheads.
- Use advanced Excel techniques for detailed estimates and summaries.
- Collaborate with Sales, Bids, Operations, and Procurement teams to gather necessary information and validate schedules and workforce planning.
- Customize proposals for clients, address queries, and support negotiations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market rates to ensure competitive pricing.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain organized records.
- Prepare reports on cost breakdowns, profit margins, and risk assessments for internal review.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to developing estimation tools and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating, pricing, or financial modelling within Fire & Security, facilities management, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of maintenance services, frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and estimation tools is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
- Higher Education qualification or equivalent preferred; experience in bid management roles is a plus.
