Marlowe Fire & Security’s Project Engineer’s responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead in technically engineering, installing, and managing a diverse range of projects—both large and small—across the Marlowe portfolio.
- Planning and delivering projects and commissioning works, while working closely with key clients to meet critical deadlines.
- Ensuring each project runs smoothly and profitably, with an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and quality in line with company standards.
- Ensuring project delivery aligns with the agreed programme timeline, proactively escalating any delays to the Project Manager.
- Conducting technical reviews and processing project orders through the Sales Order Processing system, forwarding requirements to the Purchasing Department.
- Safeguarding Marlowe’s commercial interests by maintaining clear and professional correspondence with customers regarding project delays and arising issues.
- Planning, coordinating, and managing labour and material resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Allocating all necessary Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and engineering documentation to site teams, and verifying that commissioning is completed in accordance with British Standards upon project completion.
- Providing technical guidance and support to installation teams as required throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attending site meetings and liaising with designers and customers to manage and implement design variations.
- Managing assigned engineers and subcontractors, including oversight of timesheets, holiday schedules, and overall performance.
- Monitoring and reporting on the profitability of assigned projects, ensuring financial targets are met and reporting key metrics to the Project Manager.
- Overseeing on-site health and safety compliance, conducting regular audits and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Marlowe’s Quality Management Systems, Processes, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.

- Proven technical expertise combined with excellent interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and project success.
- A track record of delivering results through effective problem-solving and a solution-focused mindset.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK as needed to ensure timely project completion, while strictly adhering to all Marlowe health and safety standards.
- Capability of working effectively under pressure, whether independently or as part of a collaborative team.
