Fire Systems Installation & Commissioning Engineer – Midlands – North Based with travel
Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Systems Project Engineer, we\’re looking for someone who is Midlands – South Based who is happy to accommodate frequent travel as required
Basic Salary – up to £36,000 per annum
Overtime, Travel Time circa £ 10,000 per annum

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Fire Systems Project Engineer’s
A self-motivated Installation and commissioning Engineer role working individually or as part of a team in local and national locations within the UK, the position will involve working closely with the Install / Projects Manager on all projects from inception through to completion on mainly Fire Alarm Systems especially Protec with a basic knowledge CCTV, Access Control, Intruder
- Strong working knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, with a broad understanding of system functionality and installation.
- Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of Protec fire systems, specifically models 6300, 6400, and 6500.
- Fully conversant with current industry regulations and standards, with the ability to install multi-discipline fire and life safety systems.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team, including coordination with subcontractors and on-site client representatives.
- Highly self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload and priorities using own initiative.
- Willingness to work outside of normal hours when required, including occasional travel and overnight stays; flexibility for overtime is expected.
- Ability to undertake minor works as needed and ensure all completed job documentation is submitted promptly.
- Responsible for the timely submission of accurate weekly timesheets, either in person or via email.
- Accountability for the full installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring all works are completed to company standards and client expectations.
- Completion and submission of project documentation in accordance with company procedures, and in compliance with quality assurance and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) requirements.

- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience within the fire systems industry, with a strong understanding of installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
- Solid technical knowledge of major fire systems and involvement in complex, large-scale projects.
- Experience managing and delivering engineering projects across both single-site and multi-site environments.
- Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across teams and with clients.
- Demonstrates energy, drive, and enthusiasm in all aspects of work.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Professional demeanour, with the ability to represent the company confidently and courteously.
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Full UK driving licence is essential. ECS or CSCS card holder preferred.
