Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire & Security Project Engineer, we are looking for someone who is Midlands-based who is happy to accommodate frequent travel as required.

Role Overview:
A self-motivated Engineer role working as part of a team in the UK. The position will involve working closely with the Project Manager on all projects from inception through to completion and will involve site supervision and man management from time to time and commissioning multisystem projects within the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of CCTV, Fire, Intruder, Access Control, and Nurse Call systems to support contractual and technical project reviews, working in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure successful delivery.
- Attend project sites as required to oversee progress, provide technical input, and support project execution.
- Carry out commissioning, system handovers, and end-user training for small systems when necessary.
- Ensure full compliance with current industry standards, delivering multi-discipline systems efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Installation Managers to support seamless, end-to-end project delivery.
- Coordinate subcontractor resources and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct technical and quality audits as needed, including supporting NSI (National Security Inspectorate) audit compliance.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to manage workload effectively, working independently when required.
- Apply strong time management skills, working alongside the Project Manager to continually develop and refine project coordination capabilities.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence and be flexible with travel to various site locations.
- Exhibit strong IT proficiency, with the ability to configure software related to fire and security system commissioning.
- Take full responsibility for ensuring systems are commissioned and handed over in accordance with relevant standards, maintaining project quality and budgetary control throughout.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience within the fire & security industry, with a strong understanding of installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
- Solid technical knowledge of major fire & security systems and involvement in complex, large-scale projects.
- Experience managing and delivering engineering projects across both single-site and multi-site environments.
- Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across teams and with clients.
- Demonstrates energy, drive, and enthusiasm in all aspects of work.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Professional demeanour, with the ability to represent the company confidently and courteously.
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
